Litters
At Summerwind we prides ourselves on breeding to the standard of Golden Retrievers. Our first concern as a breeder is to produce quality, not quantity. We breed only one - two litter's a year. Before the breeding process begins, our dogs
have their Eyes, Elbows, Hips, Heart, and Thyroid checked and cleared to ensure a happy healthy litter. Only dogs that are normal are bred. Dogs that are bred are never under the age of two years and must have the true golden temperment. They also must have proven themselves in some avenue of compitition. Pet puppies are sold on a Limited Registration basis and the placing of puppies in their new home is our responsibility. Show puppies are first picks of the litter and all others are considered for the perfect pet families.
We require all of our puppies participate in puppy class and obedience class to help you build a stronger bond with your dog. Also it insures that your puppy will be a good canine member in society.
At Summerwind Goldens we socialize and hand-raises every litter to ensure better temperment and behavior skills for everyday activities. Puppies are born and raised in our home and they stay with their Mom and siblings until they go to their new homes.Puppies go into their new homes between 7-9 weeks. All puppies are vet-checked at the appropriate age, get their first shots and are wormed.
